Tourism includes operating a fleet of cruise vessels. Finance includes the financing of asset purchases and granting of personal loans and acceptance of term deposits. Retail includes retailing and wholesaling of general merchandise. Media includes provision of free-to-air and subscription television services. Other includes equity and securities investments, stock broking, and management services. In the prior year, it also included the provision of shipping, customs, transportation and commercial waste disposal services.

Operating revenue amounting to $16,977,000 for Media Niugini Limited classified under the media industry has been reclassified to profit from discontinued operations.

The Group operates in Fiji and in PNG with the PNG operations not being material and therefore do not require separate segment disclosures.
