In a first for the FHL Group, more than 500 staff and family members of the subsidiary companies under the Fijian Holdings investment umbrella gathered at the Suva Grammar Grounds today to celebrate the 20-year anniversary of the FHL Group.

In opening the Sports Day, the Chairman for the Group, Mr Lyle Cupit said that the sports day would be the first event where the FHL Group will test their ‘spirit of togetherness as a Group. Today, our representations by subsidiaries cease, and we gather as a Group with one common vision. Together we strive to forge a culture of teamwork, of commitment, of success. Today, we acknowledge that ‘Succeeding Through Teamwork’ is not only through us coming to work everyday, but it also acknowledges the significant role that our families play in our lives and our work.’

As part of its 20-year celebrations, the company took the opportunity to thank all of the wives, husbands, partners, children and families of all the employees of the Group for their continued support and their presence at the Sports Day.
 
There were four teams altogether with mixed team members from all the subsidiaries who came from different parts of Fiji where their operations are located. The Chairman in declaring the event open stated that the sports day is about ‘teamwork’ and having fun as a team. The day ended with an FHL Group staff dinner in the evening.
